Read and manage your inbox
View your inbox and conversations, search Gmail, read formatted messages, mark mail read or unread, and move messages to Trash. Open a message in Gmail when you want to reply. The widget does not compose or send mail.
Runs on your computer
Install Respawn Companion and its Mail module, start Mail, then connect the widget and approve its local access request. Click Sign in with Google in the widget. Google opens in your default browser; you choose an account and approve the permissions.
The Windows module handles sign-in, stores account credentials protected for your Windows user, and connects directly to Google. Mail appears in the widget through an authenticated connection on your own computer. The widget interface is bundled locally; it does not download application code from this website.
What stays local
Respawn Icons does not operate a Mail sign-in broker or a server that receives your Gmail tokens or messages in this version. This website provides public product and policy information only. Your computer still connects to Google to sign in and use Gmail.
Sender-hosted email images are blocked by default. If you opt in, your computer contacts those image hosts, which can reveal your IP address and that you opened the message. Email scripts and forms stay blocked.
Availability
Gmail support is in preview while provider verification is prepared. Outlook and Yahoo are coming soon. Respawn Companion and Mail must be running on your Windows computer.
